Install Vernacly

Install Vernacly from your browser. It opens in its own app window; no app-store download is needed.

For a Writing Hub launch on Safari, open Writing Hub, sign in if asked, then use the browser menu there.

Desktop with Chrome or Edge

Open Vernacly in Chrome or Edge.
Chrome: ⋮ → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app. Edge: … → More tools → Apps → Install this site as an app. An install symbol may also appear beside the address bar.
Confirm Install. Open Vernacly from your desktop, Start menu or Applications.

iPhone or iPad with Safari

Open Vernacly in Safari.
Tap Share (the square with an upward arrow). In the compact layout, open the page menu first, then Share. Choose Add to Home Screen.
If offered, turn on Open as Web App. Tap Add, then open the Vernacly icon on your Home Screen.

Android with Chrome

Open Vernacly in Chrome.
Tap ⋮ → Install and create shortcut → Install. Older versions may show Install app or Add to Home screen.
Confirm installation, then open the Vernacly icon from your Home Screen or app list.

Mac with Safari

On macOS Sonoma 14 or later, open Writing Hub in Safari.
Choose File → Add to Dock, or Share → Add to Dock.
Keep the name Vernacly, click Add, and open it from your Dock. Sign in again if asked.

If the install option is missing, use a normal browser window over HTTPS. On iPhone, look under Share → Edit Actions for Add to Home Screen. A separate app window may ask you to sign in again.

Open your project once online in the installed app. Offline writing is available when enabled for your deployment; dictation, AI, live sessions and server downloads need a connection. Synchronize or export your work before uninstalling or clearing app data.
